Cookie Policy
This policy covers cookies and the technologies that work like them — local storage, session storage and device identifiers — on crowdier.app. As of the date above this website sets no cookies at all. What it does store is listed in full below, item by item, with what it is for and how long it lasts.
1. What We Store On Your Device
Everything crowdier.app puts on your device is in this table. Nothing else is set, and nothing is added without this page being updated first.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Provider | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
crowdier_lang |
Local storage | Remembers the language you picked with the globe switcher, so the site is not back in English on your next visit. | Crowdier (first party) | Until you clear your browser data | Not required — strictly necessary |
crowdier_consent |
Local storage | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again and do not load anything you refused. | Crowdier (first party) | Until you clear your browser data | Not required — strictly necessary |
| Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights | No cookie, no local storage | Counts page views and measures how fast pages load, so we can find pages that are slow or broken. Visitors are distinguished by a hash the server computes from IP address and browser type — no identifier is written to your device and nothing follows you to other websites. | Vercel Inc. (third party, United States) | Not stored on your device; aggregated by Vercel | Explicit consent required — off until you opt in |
2. Strictly Necessary vs. Optional
Strictly necessary items are the ones without which the site cannot do what you asked it to do. Under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) and the Board's cookie guidance these may run without consent, and you cannot switch them off, because switching them off would break the page. The two entries above are the only ones we have: your language and your cookie choice.
Everything else needs your explicit consent before it runs. Analytics is the only thing in this category, and it starts switched off. The scripts are not even downloaded until you opt in — the banner is not a formality shown while tracking already happens in the background.
We use no advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no social media trackers and no cross-site profiling. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.
3. Legal Basis
For the strictly necessary items we rely on Article 5(2)(f) of KVKK (processing necessary for our legitimate interests, provided your fundamental rights are not harmed) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
For analytics we rely on your explicit consent — Article 5(1) KVKK and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. That consent is freely given: the site works exactly the same whether you accept or refuse, and refusing takes one tap.
4. Transfers Outside Turkey and the EEA
crowdier.app is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States, so serving you this page necessarily involves your IP address reaching a server outside Turkey and outside the EEA. That is unavoidable for any website to load at all and is covered by our agreement with Vercel.
If you opt into analytics, the same IP address is additionally used by Vercel to compute the visitor hash described above. Under Article 9 of KVKK this is a transfer abroad, and your explicit consent is the basis for it. Refuse analytics and that additional use does not happen.
We deliberately do not load fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images from any other company's servers. Our typeface is served from our own domain rather than from Google Fonts, precisely so that visiting the site does not hand your IP address to a third party you never agreed to.
5. Changing or Withdrawing Consent
Withdrawing is as easy as consenting. The "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page reopens the panel, where you can switch analytics off again. If analytics was running, the page reloads without it immediately.
You can also clear your browser's site data for crowdier.app, which erases both entries in the table and makes the banner appear again on your next visit. Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and local storage in its privacy settings; because we do not depend on them for anything but your language, the site keeps working if you do.
If we ever start using something new, the stored version of your choice stops counting and you are asked again rather than opted in silently.
6. Your Rights
Under Article 11 of KVKK you have the right to learn whether we process your personal data; to request information about that processing; to learn its purpose and whether it is being used accordingly; to know the third parties at home or abroad to whom it is transferred; to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected; to have data erased or destroyed where the conditions for processing no longer apply; to have any correction or erasure notified to those third parties; to object to a decision produced solely by automated analysis that works against you; and to claim compensation if you suffer loss because your data was processed unlawfully.
If you are in the EU or the EEA, the GDPR gives you equivalent rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, plus the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email us at the address in section 8. Turkish residents may also apply to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) after applying to us first.
7. Keeping This Page Honest
We review what the site stores at least every six months, and whenever we add or remove a script. If the table above and the actual site ever disagree, the table is the bug — tell us and we will fix it.
8. Data Controller and Contact
The data controller for crowdier.app is Crowdier. For anything about this policy, about what we store, or to exercise the rights in section 6, write to the address below and we will answer within thirty days.
Everything else we do with personal data, including inside the Crowdier app, is covered by our Privacy Policy.
