Safe Meetup Tips
Crowdier connects friend groups — and that already makes things safer. But here are some practical things to keep in mind when meeting a new crew for the first time.
Meet in public first
Always meet a new group somewhere public for the first time — a bar, restaurant, park, or event. Avoid private locations until you've built trust in person.
Tell someone your plans
Before heading out, let a friend or family member know where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back. A quick text goes a long way.
Check the profiles
Before meeting up, take a look at each member's profile in the app. You can see everyone's photos, bio, and age — no surprises when you actually meet.
Go as your full crew
There's strength in numbers — and that's the whole point of Crowdier. Bring your whole group to the first meetup. Don't go solo to meet a group you've only chatted with online.
Trust your gut
If something feels off — in the chat, about a profile, or when you arrive — trust that feeling. It's always okay to leave. Your comfort and safety come first, no explanation needed.
Keep personal info private
Don't share your home address, workplace, or financial details with people you haven't met yet. Keep the conversation inside the app until you've met in person and feel comfortable.
Have an exit plan
Agree with your crew beforehand on a signal if anyone wants to leave. A simple code word works. You should never feel trapped — you can always leave together as a group.
Report anything suspicious
If a group behaves inappropriately — before or during a meetup — report them directly in the app. We take every report seriously and act fast. You can also block any group at any time.
